The New Year brings great excitement, with new opportunities and sadly some closures. The economic crisis is looming over our heads like a big black storm cloud. And more now than ever is a time to diversify.

So far in January I have had a sneak peak at the up and coming Bon Iver ep – Blood Bank. This takes me places that really dilute any stresses and nulls any pain. The tune I have selected from this ep of four tunes, ‘Woods’ an insight into how vocoder’s should be used. At the end of last year we witnessed a boom in the use of the vocoder mainly for people who cannot sing, *cough* Kanye *cough*.  This refreshing track is a master class for any vocoder backpacker who thinks it will mask those struggling vocal chords.
